NOTICE TO MARINERS.
[From the "Government Gazette," Oct. 24.] There is a very dangerous sunken rock Ijing between the Great and Little Barrier Isiatuis, (about three and a quarter miles distant from the latt"r Island) from which the following hearings were taken :— Southend of the Little Barrier, or " Hiouioi,rou\' Island, due west (magnetic.) Wellington Head (Great Barrier Island,) north e;ist by north, $ north. Eastern extremity of Kauwau Island, south-west, £ south. Mutu Tahnp.i, a small Island near C«pe Colvill, south east -}- east. The sea does not usually break upon this melt daring mod rate weather, but at times breakers can be Seen- on it for several miles distance, ami iit low water the top of the rock may be seen »rso gst the breakers.
