The brig John Dalton, which sailed from Sydney for London on the 19th of August last, laden with colonial produce, went on shore in a gale of wind on Cape Negro, on the 18th of November. The only life lost was that of Mrs. A. Stevenson, a passenger. Part of the cargo has been saved. The Comet had arrived at Nelson, she encountered very heavy weather after leaving Twofold Bay, and lost 162 of her sheep. She will load, we believe, with timber for Sydney.
