The shop-keepers on ttie beach, with the laudable intention of making their road as distingue as possible, so that it may be quoted as the beach par excellence, have determined upon flooring the whole with N. Z. Main, and covering it with carpets of. N. The Mairi will be scoured and polished regularly every morningby the house maid/-!, and the carpets shaken by the constables on their beat, to the tune of the town crier's bell.
