All and whole the well known A. 1. brigantine Hannah, 90 tons per register, with her sails, masts, tackle, and appurtenances, as she now lies in this harbour. This vessel was built in the Macleay river New South Wales in 1837. This upon comparison and calculation will be found to be an enormous reduction upon the present rates. FREE PORTS. Duties.—By a recent Act of the Legislative Council, the Customs have been I abolished, and all Goods may be imported to this Colony free of Duties. There is likewise no duty on Exports. Vessels visiting the harbours of New Zealand can enter free of all charges. Pilots are stationed at the principal Ports, but vessels are not required to pay for, or to take Pilots aboard, unless they choose. Supplies of all kinds may be had at reasonable rates. 5 per cent is the usual rate of Commission, exclusive of charges. L SIGNAL STATION, I MOUNT ALBERT. Remarks.—A White Flag at Mast Head denotes a sail in sight; when the class is ascertained, the descriptive Signal will be hoisted at the Yard Arm.
