“The total number of consumei’3 conned ed to the board’s mains for the month just ended was 16,301,” said the manager of the Thames Valley Electric-power Board, Mr R. Sprague, in his report to the August meeting of the board. "Thames and Te Aroha Boroughs are included in this total and number 1537 and 954 respectively. Sixty-six lighting and heating consumers were connected, also 33 ranges, 54 waterheaters, 29 industrial motors and 41 motors on farms, of which 14 are milking motors.

‘ There are now connected and operating 6947 ranges, 9209 waterheaters, 1711 industrial motors and 8914 motors on farms, of which 3964 are milking motors. In addition 95 consumers had additional lighting and heating connections, made. The connected load for the month was 806.22 Kw.,” Mr Sprague concluded.
