VALIEY BOARD’S COMPLAINT
ALLOCATION CONTROL POSSIBILITY OF UNFAIRNESS “The position as affecting the control of the allocations in my opinion, is most unsatisfactory, if we can take any notice of the press reports,” stated Mr R. Sprague, manager of the Thames Valley Electric Power Beard, ip his report to the April meeting of the board. “It appears that some supply authorities are getting away with it any not making reductions, whereas this board is endeavouring to keep within the 20 per cent, and in conjunction with other boards has been endeavouring to work in with the department, and assisting to keep within the allocation. I have written to the general manager of the State Hydro Department asking that a statement be published every week, as soon as the results of the allocation as affecting supply authorities are tabulated by the department. Then we would all know whether all supply authorities are doing their utmost and that there is no preferential treatment. I think this will also be in the interests of the State Hydro Department. “The reason for this is that supply authorities adjacent to this board are apparently not keeping to their allocation as they seem to have leuger hours of use and have not the restrictions Imposed on them, similar to this board. However, this matter has to be cleared up and we now await the result of the controller’s reply." j
