Temperatures; Mean temperature for month in screen, 04.3 deg. Fall.; highest maximum, 84.0 deg. Fall, on the 30th; lowest minimum, 41.0 deg. Fall, on the 3rd; moan earth temperature two feet down, 65.5 deg. Fall. Wind: Total run for month, 3777 miles; daily average. 121.8 miles; greatest run in 2 1 hours, 287 miles on Ihe 29t li. Rain: 'total fall for month. 2.82 inches; greatest fall in 2 1 hours, .68 inches on the 25th: number of days on which rain Cell. 15. .Sunshine: Total hours of bright sunshine. 200.6; daily average, 6.5 hours; brightest, day, 12.8 hours on the 4th; sunless days, 5. Remarks: An unseasonable month with unsettled weather. Though the rainfall was well below the average, rain fell on no fewer than 15 days; and. contrary to the experience in most (list.riels, we had no long period without rain. Growth has been abundant, and hay crops, where successfully harvested, have been lieavv.
