BRITISH PILOT’S LUCKY EMBLEM : This cheerful young fighter pilot comes from South Africa. Hence his life-saving jacket he is displaying, bears a drawing of a Springbok. It must have been lucky for while on patrol over the English Channel he shot down two German Messerschmidt 109 F’s in 30 seconds! His total score is: Four German planes destroyed for certain, one probably destroyed and five damaged.
