MINERS' THEATRE

TO-NIGHT AND TO-MURROW'S PROGRAMME

To-nght and to-morrow night, at the Miners' Theatre Johnny Weissmuller and Maureen O'Sullivan will appear in another of the famous Tarzan series, "Tarzan Escapes." The life of Tarzan and his mate in the jungles of Africa among the big apes, and the adventures and hardships of intrepid hunters who search the hinterland for rare animals, are all vividly depicted. An excellent supporting programme will include an "Our Gang" comedy, "Pay as You Exit,", a coloured cartoon, "Pups' Christmas," and news, etc.

On Thursday and Friday Patsy Kelly, Jack Haey, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy will se seen in "Pick a Star." Hal Roach, the master mirthmaker, has spared nothing to make tiiis his banner feature comedy. The settings of "Pick a Star" are the finest. The Colonial Club, especially beautiful, represents Hollywood's "swankiest" night club. The design

is Georgian throughout, murals indirectly lighted form the upper portions of its walls. These murals were painted by a staff of thirty of the country's foremost mural decorators. The lower portions of the walls are covered by blue silk with a tiny cut glass mirror placed in each of the tufts of the silk. The set has been acclaimed as a most spectacular night club idea.
