A real old-time Waihi westerly gale greeted the members of tlie Waihi Men’s Golf Club on Saturday last, when the second round of the captain’s trophy was played... As was expected, the scoring was not up to the usual standard-. The following were the carffs returned, being the nett scor^:~—V, Clark 74, Metcalfe 74, Jfapson 74, Spence (senr.) 75, T. Fraser 89, PayzQ Boyd- 97-. Four other Pate-em did not complete tee romuj;. The following. are the best, aggregate scores for the two rounds completed: Rapson 146, Metcalfe 147, T. Clarke 147, Spence (senr.) 151, V. Clark 151. Next Saturday, weather permitting, the concluding round for this t trophy will be played. 11
