The Makale correspondent of the "Daily Mail" says that the fugitives from the Emperor's army are clogging the passes south of Lako Ashangi. They have abandoned theor weapons and uniforms, and are being bombed and machine-guned by every availabel Italian aeropalne. The Emperor, Ras Kasha, and Ras Seyoum, with a handful of followers are struggling towards Dessie.

The general impression is that future Italian operations will resemble occupation rather than conquest. It is expected that flying columns will quickly penetrate Central Abyssinia.
