PLIGHT FROM TE AWAMUTU ON SATURDAY
WIN FOR C. E. HUON’S LOFT
On Saturday jast the Waihi Racing Pigeon Club flew a race from Te Awamutu, an airline distance of 52 miles, for a trophy presented by Mrs Evesham. TJie Weather conditions were decidedly unfavourable, tiie birds being liberated in heavy rain, and as a resUjt were Well scattered; the first homo, Mr C. E. lliioii’s Hurry On. willing by eighteen minutes.' The results were; Mr Q. B. Huph’s h.c.p.b. Hurry on, 570yds per minute, Jst; Mr H. Huon.’s r.c.c. 'Bpoiize Eagle’, 512yds, 2nd; and Mr R. Tjjrner’g b.c.li. Juliet, 507ydj, '3rd. There were twenty-eight entries, including those of Messrs C. W- flewspn anij R. Farrands.
