ATHLETIC FIXTURES
RUGBY FOOTBALL FOR SATURDAY NEXT LADIES’ HOCKEY MATCH On Saturday the Waihi senior Rugby representatives will travel to Morrinsville to meet the local fifteen, the team selected to make the trip being as follows: McNamara, Hume, Johns, Dillimore, Saunders, Henry, McDermott, Price, Mathers, Radford, Walters, Jennings, Smeaton, Pankhurst; emergencies, McConnell, Torrens, Campbell and Waite. The Waihi juniors will meet the Frankton Club’s juniors on the Recreation Ground at 3 o’clock, the team being as follows: Stevens, Campbell, Hawthorne, Prendeville, Warn, Steel, Burt, Johns, R. White, McAra, Mounsey, Ludwig, Ford, Callaghan, Comes; emergencies, Hayes, Cunliffe, Nisbet, Furey, C. Berryman and Sainsbury. Mr J. Mannix will be the referee. The local hockey ladies will meet the Morrinsville team on the Waihi ground at 3 o’clock the team to be picked from the following: Misses McMahon (2), Weedon, Inglis, McConnell, B. Bell, M. Pagan, T. Mair, M. Nisbet, A. Craig, C. Morton, G. Delaney.
