final game in cup competition a win for ramblers The final game the Walhi ladies’ hockey cup competition for the season was played on the Recreation Ground on Saturday afternoon, when Ramblers beat Western United by 5 goals to 1. The Western United team was three players short, and Ramblers were one short. Even allowing for the difference in the number of the players, it seemed that Ramblers were on the whole a better team. The scorers for the winning side were Misses M. McMahon (3), A. McMahon and I. Dabinett, 1 eac i. Miss E. McConnell netted the ball for Western United. Mr C. Dunstan was referee.
