Mr Lawrence, conductor os the Gisborne Band, which took part in the competitions at Auckland, was indisposed throughout the contest. On the return journey to Gisborne, ho stayed with friends at Cambridge, where bo gradually grew worse, and on Sunday was removed to the Waikato hospitah Mr Lawrence passed away early this morning. He leaves a widow and g own up family;
