Mr Piwpont Morgan j in a statement said-. The German ambassador, Herr WiedenieJd called oui Ug to make inquiry regarding the'possibility of our undertaking to assist in tho flotation, of a large so-called international! loam to Germany. He was informed that- wc? greatly desired to be'of service to the genera! situation, but that matters had reached such a point that it urns impossible* tor u s to discuss or consider a loan, to Germany unless and until the reparations questions are settled.
