INTERESTING FIGURES. LONDON, November 18. Some interesting figures of the population of Greater London are disclosed by the latest census 'which gives the total number of inhabitants as 7,480,201, the highest on record. In the Cbuirty of London alono the numbers have increased from 1)59,310 in 1801 to 4,484,423 in 1921, the latter being made up of 1,071,579 mates and 2,413,044 females. The Umades have djeereaskd in tho last tan year ß by 54,762, and tho femalc 6 increased by 17,600. The proportion of females tq 1000 ma'cs has risen from 1127 in 1911 to 1165 in 1021, ami there ha H boon an increase of 25.922 in widows during that period, attributable largely to the war. The ratio of unmarried females to 1000 unmarried males haw incj'easbd from 1138 to 1287 in t.hc ago group of 20 to 29 and from 1313 to 1886 in tho age group of 30 tq 39.
