MONTHLY .MEETING OF MEMBERS. A RESIGNATION. The monthly meeting of the Thames Harbour Board was held yesterday, Mr Harris (chairman of the Board) presiding. Mr D. Donaldson, representing Waihi, was amongst those present. One of tho matters which received the attention of the Board was a report of tho engineer, Mr K. F. Adams, regarding tho progress of the- Turua wharf. This stated that the contractor had made such substantial progress that already a new section of thy wharf was available for local traffic, and that tho completion of tho structure would only entail a further six weeks' work. Tho chairman, in speaking of the report, said that he had inspected tho work, and \v.n s satisfied that the quality of the workmanship and of tho timber used reflected the greatest c rc-dit on the contraptors, Messr R Fopte and Co. The question a s to a suitable opening of' the bridge for traffic was referred to a special committee, who were asked to report to the next meeting of tho. Board.
