Recently the Bishop of London deprived Archdeacon Wakeford .(who was found guilty by a Consistory Count at Lincoiln on two charges of adultery), of his benefices, but left him free to act in another diocese. He then gave notice of appeal against the finding of the Court, but 'this was refused by the ecclesiastical authorities.
