01IINEMURI GOLD AND SILVER MINES. Development Avwks on the Camoolfc reef and other parts of the Obinemuri Gold and Silver Mines Company's property are being pushed forward with encouraging results. The rise put up on the Cumoola reef from the Camooha level lias connected fvitfi tlie winze from No. 1 level, and the manager re- l ports that? the average value of the lode in the winze was about 30s per ton, which is quite <sa ; tisfactbry in view of the fact that high values were not expected to live going up into the leached area. Operations on the ore body which was close on 30ft wide at the point of intersection at the Oamoola level point to improved values with depth, and it is understood that the management will shortly put in a level to attack the reef 200. it below the Camoola level. Good progrqes is being made with the low level drive being put out to cut' the Julia and Queen reefs, from which the high grade telluride ore has been won, and after these ore bodies have been intersected the crosscut wiM be continued to pick up tho Oamooila r«tf.
