Deschanelso, President of France, n? still suffering from a serious nervous breakdown, as the- result of falling out o; a. train, and is unikely to resume his duties for a long time. It is even belived that ho will shortly retire, and there are indications that a Presidential canvass is afoot, M. Mi'ilerand (the present Premier) and General CJ.istcp.nau are mentioned as probable candidates.
