The Lokal Anzciger stales that the French have occupied Babcnhavsen, and are about to occupy Aschaffonburg, a few miles eastward of Babcnhavsen. The paper dodlares that the French intend to systematically extend the Occupation zone with a view to separating North Germany from South Germany.

The municipality of Essen, including both Socialists parties, has protested against the French occupation of Frankfort and other towns.

Britain’s reply to M. Millerand’s Note is conciliatory but frank in tone. Discissions on both sides arc welcomed r.s assuring an early agreement in detail.
