PREPARATIONS Concerning the approaching visit of (he Prince of Wales to Australia the London Times publishes the following : “ The Prince of Wales will be the first f.g appreciate the humours of Australia s preparations for his coming tour. Every city and town, find even the remotest hamlet, we are assured, is anxious to be host, and the Government will have difficulty in placating the places which are denied the honour. There follows the statement that social fanatics also fire eager—in tendeiing advice. They urge that the Prince should not do this, that and the other during his visit ; especially he should not drink alcohol of smoke. Happjly the general pubpo of Australia are said to be repairing these suggestions with good-natured hilarity. Otherwise the tour might be in danger of being dry in more senses than one.”
