SEDITIOUS PROCLAMATION

LONDON, October 1

The authorities ,of Dublin CSastle have obtained a copy of a proclamation, alleged to be issued by the military authority, of the Irish republic and placarded in County Clare and some parts of County Cork, forbidding friendly relations with the police or military, and threatening official punishment for high treason. The proclamation declares that fraternisation with the enem> c;mnot be tolerated, jand that punishment will be meted out to traitors.
