THE CONFERENCE OF MAYORS
MR LUKE- NOT ATTENDING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, day. Mr Luke, Mayor of Wellington, has declined the invitation of Dr Thacker, Mayor of Christchurch, to a conference cf Mayors. Mr Luke, in a telegram, stated: “I am not hostile "to your conference, but consider it w.U overlap the Municipal Conference, comprising representatives of all the boroughs.’’
