SAD CASE AT AUCKLAND. (Special to the Daily Telegraph.) AUCKLAND, tula m»y. The flack of control over four young children, three girls and a boy, by their mother was responsible for an application at the Juvenile Court for their committal to an industrial home. The evidence of the police was to the effect that the mother, whose husband had left her, was in the habit of going out at night with various men and neglecting the children. On one occasion she had received some clothing from Sister Esther, and instead of using it for the children had sold it. The mother raised m objection to the application, and the children were committed as asked.
