Clifford, the local observer, imports as follows on the weather conditions in Waihi during April;— Barometer (corrected) Max for month on 30lh, 30.537 inches; min on 22nd, 29.762. Temperature in shade, 24 brs previous to 9 a.m. Max tor month on Ist. 70 3 deg Fah; min on 26tb, 27.0; extreme min on grass on 26th, 22.0. Wind Max horizontal mileage on 19th, 287 miles Rain—Max on 4lb, 0.23 inches; total for month, 0.72. Bright Sunshine Max on sth, 9hrs 22 min. Total for month, 195 hrs 5 mm. Earth, 2ft—\aried from 69.8 Fah to 57 0 Fah. Remarks—Sunshine above the average, and having no sunless day. The lowest April rainfall before recorded wag jn April, 1901, when 1.51 inches fell on nine days. This month rain fell on 11 days. High winds 24 hours previous on the 7th, IStb, 19th, and 23rd ; thunder on 4th at 2.45 p.m ; fogs on 4th, 27th, 28th, and 30th; westerly winds on 20 days, easterly on two.
