PRISONER JUMPS FROM TRAM TAKES REFUGE IN BUSH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, ihu day. Arthur Leo Ashton, a prisoner on Jus way to the Brostai institution, .made a sensational escape from the express train. Ashton, who had been sentenced to two years lor thef.t, took advantage of the reduced speed or the train at Edendale and jumped on to an embankment, and though pursued by Constable Madge escaped to the bush on the Nokomy ranges.
