I NAPIER, thus day. | The manager of tho Kirkaldio Stains was lined i!l to-day for failing to allix a label to certain articles to show they had been made at an unregistered factory. Defendant said that the article was given to an employee to make at home, and double union rato wages bad been paid. The firm had no desiro to evade the law. The magistrate said that the' Act was framed to prevent sweating, and although there was no suggestion at evil in the preteut rase- a fine must be imposed.
