Supporters of the i\o-Mcenso movement are reminded that a meeting will take place to-morruw evening at the Miners' I'nion Hall.

Mr. W, McKinnon, the newly-ap-pointed choirmaster at the Presbyterian Church, conducted the choir for tho fir.it time at yesterday's services. At the evening service the solo parte of tho two anthems were given by Messrs It. Humphries and A. Nicholson respectively-

The question of a now .organ was discussed, when it was resolved that a new instrument be purchased, Wo understand that Mr, and Mrs Kealy and child, whilst driving in from the beach yesterday, met with an accident which might have resulted in more serious consequences. It appears that the horse started to play up and kicked the trap to pieee.i, the result being that the occupants were all injured, especially the child, whom, we understand, received the most serious injuries. Mr. Kealey is engaged as storeman at the Wailii Company's oifico.

Wo regret to record tho death of Mr \V. A. Citllen,formerly a well known resident of Waihi, which tool; place at tho Thames this morning. Mr. Cullen had been ailing for some considerable, time, and his demise was not altogether unexpected. During his residence iu Waihi Mr. Cullen took a keen interest in all locnl sports, football in particular, ho having at one tiuic been a member of the Taranaki representatives. Ho was also a valued member of tho local Court of Forestors. Deceased leaves a widow to mourn her loss. . No doubt many friends will proceed lo the Thames to attend the funeral, which lakes placo at half-past two to-morrow*.
