The bride was given away by Mr Granville, of Parawai, and was attired in a charming pale cremo semi-empire gown, the bodice being of guipure lace inlet with fine insertion over cremo satin or a slightly richer shade. She woro a cremo picture bat and carried a prayer book in her hand. Her only bridesmaid was Miss Lena Veran, who wore an empire robe of palo groen mousselino relieved with cremo tucked net and insertion, and a black picture hat. Mr H. Cordes supported the bndcA groom, and Rev. J. Blight \fas tlio officiating minister. The ceremony boing . concluded the party drove to the residence of tlio bride's parents, where tlio wedding breakfast was partaken of, the usual congratulatory speeches boing made, and toasts honoured. Tlio bridegroom's presont to tlio brido was a handsomo gold bangle, and to tlio bridesmaid a gold brooch sot witli sapphire and pearls. Mr and Mrs Cordes, who wore tlio recipients of many valu"X. able- presents, left, amid showers of rice and good wishes, by the morning's train for Te Arolia, where their honeymoon is boing spent.
