Mr W. Peake mentioned that largo quantities of Southern Flour had been coining into Auckland,_ and stated tJiat it was to their own interests for the workers to stand by the local mills, but for which the price of flour would now be considerbly higher. He suggested that the matter should be, brought before all the unions, asking "them to support their local mills. The Chairman (Mr H. W. Brookes) endorsed tlio last speaker's rolnarks, remarking that it was a woll-kiiown fact that the-flour received from the 'Auckland Mill was good, and that BAD REPORTS HAD BEEN RECEIVED OF THE SOUTHERN FLOUIt PLACED ON THE MARKET, WHILE THE AMERICAN FLOUR WAS REPORTED TO BE EVEN WOItSE.
