Thames, this day. ,A PAINFOii aceidentiocenrrod in the Auck* land mine, Wbangamala, yesterday.to a ' miner named Charlos Ross, He was engaged in tho mine when a fall of earth took place, Boss receiving severe injuries to his back and loins. Tho raan'a condition was so serious that it was dooided to j convey him to the Thames hospital, and Boss was conveyed by his mates a long 1 and weary journey over bad roads and through bosh, He reached the Thames hospital tbis morning, where he received prompt attention, Tho injuries wore found to be severe, but it is.bolievcd that Boss will reoover without being permanently injured.
