Loud Londonw-rhy, speaking at Stocton ntres, said that though opponents chimed that the Government should havo resignod when defeated in Committee of Supply, Ministers felt that apart from tho absence of precedent for resigning in such circumstances, their duty was to remain in office until tho Anglo-Japanese treaty was eigncdand the Aliens and Scottish Church Bills wero passed.
