Free* Association.—Copyright. TOKIO, September 7 Anti-peace ratification riots broke out to-day in Tokio, and lasted (ill midnight. Two persons were killed and five hundred wounded. Tho rioters burned the official residence of the Minister of the Interior and destroyed the police stations. Tokio, September 7 The bulk of. the Japanese ate apathetic towards peace, but the hostility to the Radicals .is increasing in the upper and middle classes. The commercial men and financiers are strangely silent. They are evidently disappointed. Tho markets reflect their objection. Prices have sharply declined. O.ily one Tokio newspaper sup-, ports the treaty. Tho others declare it is an instill, to the nation, and the bitterest dose it has ever been asked to swallow,
