Mr. Sexton stated that freetrado had failed ts settle, or even to touch, the unemployed problem. No froo trade in the true't eenao of the word had existed without freedom to duce, not for tho bonefit of the few, bnt oI all mankind. That could not be said of tho present froe trade. It was not onougb for freetraders to proclaim against protect tion on Mr Balfour's preferential policy, Libour should demand much moro than tj policy of nngativo or anti-GoTernment nbich eo far was all that was offered hi those anxious to secure power. Lsboui must hold aloof from all parties except those ashling in a sound and progressive legislation.
