i , Monthly Meeting The usual monthly meeting of the Waihj Hospital Ttustaea was held at the hospita last night. Present; Messrs T. Gilmour (in the ohair), A, H.Benge, D.Donaldson, J. A.. Brown, andß. Newdick. MEDICAL INSTRUCTION OF.NURSES . It was resolved tbett the house commutes and the doctors confer on the question of obtaining a skeleton, to be used in connection with the medioal instruction of the nursing staff. < LIGHTNING PLANT Messrs.'Williams and Williams, plum'bers, wrote stating that having been appointed agenis for the Acetylene Gas Syndicate; they were prrpared to do any alterations and repairs in connection with the apparatus. It waß resolved that a share of ibe work be given to the applicants. APPLICATION FOR WOBK J. Buidekin wrote asking for a 'situation as hospital attendant, The letter was roceiveS. NEW TRUSTEE ' David J. Morgan wrote intimating that Bro. A. H. Clark had been selected by the members of the Foresters' Court to fill the vaoancy caused by the retirement of Bro. Ji Hind on the Hospital Board. ; t lt was resolved that Mr. Clark's'appointment bo confirmed. i DB (iOINNKSS Dr. Guinness, in a letter to the secro tary (Mr Max D. King) intimated that he was leaving Home by the Kumara'on 24th iint., and that the vessel was expected to arrive in Wellington on the 20lh Ootober. He asked that this information be given to tbe hospital committee; also that they be informed of his successful passing of the examination for Diploma of Public Health with first class honour". He also intimated that he had been /suffering from an acute.attack of appendicitis, -The letter was received. THE MEDICAL STAFF. It was resolved that the doctors have three months' notice to terminate their present appointments, in view of the rearranging of the medical Btaff, and tbatthe sub-committee make arrangements for new terms and conditions. HOUSE COMMITTEE. Messrs A. H. Benge and D. Donaldson, in oonjunotion with the chairman and Mr J, A. Brown, woro appointed the House Committee for the ensuing month, • ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to 1149 7s were passed for payment.
