The box, with tho jewellery and plate, were handed baok to Mrs. Willis, but the Commissioner impoundid iho documents, and will privately peruse then?, The muoh-expeoted books relating to Mrs, Willis's business were not found, IMessrs, McNairandHoskins, examined, stated that thoy were unable to throw any light on the disappearance of the books, though the accountant of tho safe deposit deposed that the box was much lighter. Mrs, Willis had it opened just before Willis loft Sydnfy. The box was subsequently brought from the safe deposit, bat it contoed only heirlooms in the shape ol a sovereign and brooch. There was considerable exe'tomont in Court while the opening was proceeding."
