Mu Deakbn has recoivod a cable from Mr LyUolton giving tho new reflations in reference to the Marshall Islands, Commercial firms established tharo are to pay a Inding lax of 6000 marks annually. This will be the only tax on commerce, Tho Imperial Commissioner at Paluit has boon instructed to ossist merchants to conclude the leases of land from tho natives for trading stations, A tix of 200 marks wi'l bo yearly imposed upon ships engaged in the trade, on behalf of the commercial , firms not established in tho Islands. I The Caroline Islands will be thrown open from October Ist, tho duos to be thoßO according to the ordinances of August Bib, 1904.
