He had been roummlod on a charge of druukonuoßs ) and suddenly became violent, throwing the utonsils about, Ho was placed in a pad. ded coll, and a doctor was summoned, who found Simmonds in a state of coinpleto collapse Artificial respiration was tried, but was unsuccessful, and the doctor pronounced life- extinct. His wifo lives at Northern Wairoa.
