It is officially announced that the coroner has objected to tho protracted inquiries made boforo him on tho tram acoidonlsi which woro simply for tho purposo of deciding who was to piy the damago. In future lie will- adjourn tho oasos for a fortnight, and ask counsel to lay their evidence before tho police, who would then bring forward as much of it as' thoy considered necessary.
