A Paris report states that though M. do Witto ami Count Lamsdorffi are strenuously urging peace, the Court continues to favour war. The American authorities in the Philippines refuse to allow Admiral Enkviat to repair any injuries received in battle, and direct that the vessels shall be interned unless they leave immediately. A Russian cruiser, two destroyers, i and a volunteer cruiser were sighted on Monday a hundred miles southwest of Hong Kong.
Two Russian volunteer oruiserß overhauled four merchantmen fifty miles north-east of Hong Kong.
