MR PATTULLO IN REPLY
TO THE EDITOR , Sir,—l see by last night's Teieqhaph that "'iho Man in the Street" still persists in exhibiting his ignorance to the public. He is anxious to kiiow what I was doing at the back doors ! pf the hotels, where, acoordii)g,;to his .unenlightened mind, I muat have boon in order to see him or others coming forth "refreshed," Is be not aware that the back door entrances load oil to the main itreet, where I myself, or even "The lan in the Street,'' might lioppen to bo whoo thirsty souls were coming forth. Next, "The Man iu the Street-" osbs: " How is it that the exit of the Presbyterian Churoh has not yet been altered acoordintf to .law ?" clearly proving that the man's tongue runa wild, as the doors of said church have been an required by law for the pavt eight or nino months, When next," The Man in the Street" wanis to help fill your columns I advise him to get hold of something worth saying.—l am, eto,, J. Lbburn Pattollo. The Manao, Waihi.
