Waitete Football Club
The first annual meeting of the Waitote (lata West) .Football Club was hold tho otherevoning in tho Bob Boy Hotel. Tho largo attendance of intending players was very encouraging, and augurod well for tho success of the olnb this year. Mr J. N. Quick was elected tp the chair, Tbo election of officers took some time owing to the introduction of the district scheme. It will be noticed that previous ofuco holdors have bcon left out, as tho meeting thought they would rather givo their support to the dis rict they resided in. Tbo following wore elected : Patron, the Vory Bov, Father Brodio; Vice Patron, Kev. J, L. Pattullo; President, MrH. E, Meyer; Vice Presidents, Messrs W. H. Horries, M HJt., J. Lively, J. Kolly, W. M. It .viisdocidod that the subscription be for Bciiiors ss. Juniors 3s. The colours of tho new olub will bo the same as tho old West Club, navy bluo and white. Messrs. Fraser and F. R. Marriott wore oleotcd delegates to the Waihi Eugby Union.
On the motion of Mr. M. Murphy, seconded by Mr. W> Cunningham, it wus unanimously carried that a hearty vote of i hanks be tenderod to Mr. J. Cochrane for his valuable sorvices to the club while acting in tho office of soorotary. Also ihathobe made a life member of the club,
