The North AuokUnd Charikblo Aid Board meeting was attended by members from all the northern countio3; Tho chairman presented his report on hospitals under tho Board's jurisdiction visited by him. It was resolved to terminate tho present arrangements of Iho Itaivono' hospital, and employ a doctor, trained nurse, nnd other holp in tho future. Af er a 1 ng discussion, the Board followed thotr solicitor's opinion, declining to pay 165, outst inding fees claimed by the Wairoa Hospital Trustees for Charitable Aid pationts trested on account of tho Hobson County Ooinicil'i Mr Harding chinied that those could have been sent by the Hobson County to tho Auckland Hospital, when the North Anckl»nd Chaiitable Aid Board would haye been liable. The Board ngreod to prepare plans and specifications, and erect a Mongonui hospital, tho executive in Whangnrei t3 accept tiio louder, It was also agreed to purchase a silo at Mongonui, The usual rate of ii penny in the pound was struck.
