At the Supreme Court, G-'orge Matthows Ewart, a loonl bookflollo; - , wis clnrged with selliingtho newspaper Truth, a Sydney publication, which in certain purls was alleged to bo of an indecent, immoral and obscene nature. The foot of sale was ad' mitted, but the defenci was that accused was unaware cf the contents. After deliberating for an hour thejury returned a verdict of guilty, Loavo was given to carry the points raised regarding the knowledge of accused to tho Appeal Court, and His Honor intimated that any othor qneat'on could be drafted. Accused was liberated on his own recognisances.
