Farewell Speech by Gol. Collins By Telegraph.—Press Association. WiunaiON, this day. The Bisley Team, which leaves to-day, was. sworn in this morning, this being necessary for service outside the, colony. Colonel Collins, in bidding the men farewell, referrod to the groat difficulty which had been experienced in selecting the : team when so many were entitled to a place, but were unablei to make the nece»#ary arrangements to accept the Government's invitation. He believed that the team, though perbap3 not the strongest the colony could send, would worthily defend the Kalapora Cup Referring to the sel<=ctiou of Major Hughes to the command, he said that he w?-.s one of the best officers in the colony for such a mission. Major Hughes, in replying, said that he had no anxiety as to the result of the trip, and had mapped out a system of practice, etc , which he hoped would be effectual at Home. , The team go by the Corinthic this afternoon. .
