Thoso injured by the collision were : Miss Pearl Foster, aged 3 years. Mj?s Gladys Foster, aged' 9 years,' Mrs W, Hill. Miss Marion Hill, aged 9 years. Miss Jessie Hill, aged 7 years. Miss Anna Anderson, Mr William Young. j Peter Ganloy (the driver). Mrs Lily Fosor, who resided in Pioton. street, Ponsonby, was. hurled undor the I car. She was shockingly mangled. Miss Anna Anderson, a young lady passenger, wns in tho 'bus. She was seated in front o( tho ill»fated.Mw Foster, who was with her two little daughters (Gladys, aged nine, and Pearl,' aged three), In front of Miss Anderson sat Mrs Hill,*t wife of Herbert Hill, Norfolk-street, Ponsonby, With her were her two little girls (Marion, aged nine, and Jessie, aged 7), All except Miss Auderson and William Young (who was on the box seat) appear* ed to havo been thrown clear of the tramlines, 1 Mrs Hill sustained slight injuries to one *f her legs and inside her head, No Mnes' were broken, but she was very badly shaken, and suffered acutely from nervous shock.
Her daughter Mavioa esuaped with no>* thing worse than a severs shaking. Miss Jessie Hill was less fortunate. She was badly injured the right 'side of the head. The wound was bleeding profusely. She was also bruised about the knees, iu one of which was a deep cut. Little Pearl Foslqr had ono toco broken. The bone was so badly fraetiued that an extremely difficult operation was necessary, and the surgeons regard her case with, some misgivings,
- Her elder Bister, Gladys, had one of her logs injured, and she was badly knooked about.
°The children were in dreadful distress when their pitiful cries for their mother brought no response, Mr. Youug and the driver were carried along with the wreckage of the 'bus. .>:. The former was injured about the- head and legs, which were seriously cut about,; The 'bus driver (Ganley), it is 'feared, has sustained internal injuries,'besides several ribs broken, and he is badly lacerated about the face, The precise extent of his internal injuries are not definitely ascertained.
