The evidenoo taken showed that deceased and Riddle, who also suecuobed, had partaken of a meal consisting of tinned imgues, onions, bread and ton. Next morning they became very ill. Dr Thomas, who made the post mortem, said thot the appearances were consistent with ptomaine poisoning. Mr, Thomson, analytical ohemist, said that he was treating the tonguos lor ptomaine, but tho process was long and intricate, and waß not yet finished.
