The Ptomaine Poisoning Case
The Coroner's Inquest 1 By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dcnedin, this day. The inquest into tho death of Thoma s Trudgeon, one of the viotims of the ptomaine poisoning, was resumed yesterday, but was further adjourned to permit oi further tests by Mr. Thomson, analyti* oal ohemist. The evidenoo taken showed that deceased and Riddle, who also suecuobed, had partaken of a meal consisting of tinned imgues, onions, bread and ton. Next morning they became very ill. Dr Thomas, who made the post mortem, said thot the appearances were consistent with ptomaine poisoning. Mr, Thomson, analytical ohemist, said that he was treating the tonguos lor ptomaine, but tho process was long and intricate, and waß not yet finished.
