A Hopeful Sinn Proposal of Attorney-General to be Considered Press Association.—Copyright. STJDNsr. thu day The hearing of the cases against the New castle wheelers has been postponed, on on the application of the CrowD, till Friday.
Counsel for the wheelers has intimated that it is intended to refu»e to plead, as pleading would raise the question of jurisdiction.
The general situation remains un
changed. The officials of the Employees' Federation meet to-morrow to discuss the Attorney-General's appeal to resume work. It is rumoured that they wiJ submit a proposd to tbe Miners' Delegate Board which, if adopted, will settle the strike in 24 hours.
The opinion is expressed that the only possible way to achieve this will be for the miners to decline to support the striking wheelers, and that this rs improbable.
